The Door 11 x 14 Inch Oil Painting

I had a showing this last weekend for Let’s Paint New Mexico.  My dad wanted challenge 18, which I didn’t paint.  I just finished it this morning.  He likes it!  I do too.

Sunflowers and a Turquoise Door 16 x 20 Inch Oil Painting

I think I would like to paint sunflowers more.  I have tried to stay away to expand my flower horizons but I have missed them!  I painted this painting for Let’s Paint New Mexico Challenge #19.

Old Town Holly Hock #5 Banner 5th and Mountain Road Albuquerque New Mexico

I’m not sure I have blogged about my banner yet!  Here is the scoop.  Julianna Kirwin put together a public arts project.  When all was said and done, I had a pretty banner hanging from a lamp post on 5th and Mountain Road.  My banner will hang for a year along with others that span the blocks between 5th and 12th Street.  I was especially excited to have my piece hung across the street from a banner of  Johnny Tapia.  Very cool.

Vase of White Daisies in Cerulean and Orange 12 x 16 Inch Oil Painting

This vase of daisies is vibrant.  I am loving the brush and knife strokes and the colors.  I have decided that I need to use more cerulean blue.  Beautiful blue!

Olives and Pimentos 18 X 24 Inch Still Life Oil Painting

This is an 18 X 24 inch oil painting of olives and pimentos.  I do know that olives don’t really grow with pimentos already in them, but in my head, they do!
