This is a 24 x 36 Inch Sunflower Oil Painting done in CYM no K (Cyan (Phthalo Blue), Cad Yellow Light, Primary Magenta and no Black) plus White. I started experimenting with this palette a few months ago and have been slowly learning its oddities. I really like the warm yellows, rusty oranges, brilliant reds, turquoise blues, vibrant purples…and I am even starting to get the hang of greens.
This is a 12x 36 inch floral abstraction that I painted for my sister’s birthday. I still need to varnish it. It is going to go great in her entry way by her turquoise bench.
I love the reds in this Iris painting. I think the blues are pretty kickin’ as well…and the greens! I also love the texture. I think I am just overall pleased with this painting. Maybe I am starting to get the hang of my experimental color palette. This one is a CMY plus white.
Just messing around with a relatively new set of primary colors. Cyan, Magenta and Yellow plus white.
Playing with painting knives and canvas that is too fat for my easel. I do love sunflowers.
I’ve never painted yellow poppies and felt I needed to. I like it! This is an 18 x 24 inch palette knife oil painting.
I have been busy this week making poppy fields! This will be the last one for the week…or should be because I got stuff to do! This was the poppy painting that got me hooked on yellow ochre skies for a few paintings. Happy Wednesday everybody!
