    1. Thank you so much. I don’t either and every time I paint one, it is never the same as my others and it seems like something new to me every time. I love that flower! I am glad you like my sunflowers.

  1. wow…..I have to give this some thought on what your painting is saying but boy, it is perky and very much alive and attentive! Your paintings are so symbolic like no other artist that I have seen yet. I am picking up on your vibes big time! lol you have a lot to say with your paintings, don’t you? we poor souls have to decipher your language! I love this so much! I see so much in this and the colors are so vibrant….your flowers keep trying to say something…..darn….I will have to stop and listen. lol πŸ™‚ you rock with your paintings!

        1. It is a hopeful painting. Where would we be without hope….plus, I am hoping to get into the sunflower festival arts and crafts fair…so will be painting lots of sunflowers in upcoming weeks.

        2. I did a scary last night. I will post when it is dry enough to photograph. I sware I saw a grim reaper holding a burial face cloth in it. Yikes.

        3. It is kind of a cool painting. It started out as a sun with six sunflowers for a total of seven….but I decided I didn’t care for the orange in the sky in this particular painting so I changed the sun to a moon and darkened the sky and started messing with the mesas. So the picture totally changed to six sunflowers and a moon with a creepy rock house with a mysterious light and when the light hits it right you can see a black robed figure. I will blow that up and point it out so you can see it. They sunflowers look like they are shocked or scared or just not comfortable. Hard to explain. Not purposeful at all.

        4. maybe not consciously purposeful πŸ˜‰ remember once you are a symbolist, you are sunk….lol in a good way I mean. It bubbles forth and you think that you might have control, but you don’t! lol I am going dramatic on you, sorry. I can’t wait to see it.

        5. Maybe that is true. I know I kept thinking 6, man, mortality, night moon…so you might be right because it does have a different feel. I don’t think it is blatantly obvious, but it is there.
